Windows 10: After Windows 10 reset there is a locked folder I cant view, copy, or paste.

So I reset my pc because it was not running smoothly and all my games were crashing. I opted to keep all my files for the reset. Minecraft is on my computer but the Microsoft store says it's not. So I redownloaded it but now I don't have any more of my worlds. I go back to the old Minecraft folder and my worlds are still in there but there is a lock around the folder and when I try to open a file in that folder it says I do not have permission to do so even though I am an admin. When I try to edit their permissions for the users It says I have full access but the little check boxes are greyed

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Lock the view for one folder

Hello

I have a folder on my Windows 10 Pro Desktop named Programs. It contains shortcuts to most of the applications I use on my computer.

In order to be able to view all the applications at a glance, I use the List view (View > Layout > List). This ensures all the shortcuts are visible within the folder window.

My issue is that the view keeps resetting to Details. This results in the list of application shortcuts extending beyond the bottom of the folder window - I need to scroll down to see the remainder of the shortcuts.

Sometimes List view will last for a few days or just a single day. I use my computer every single day and it is on all day when at home.

I have researched this several times over the last year or so but none of the conventional suggestions work. Setting the view from a template does not work - it keeps reverting to Details.

Has anyone managed to lock a folder view so that it retains the same view when opened?
