Windows 10: after windows 10 update touchpad freezing briefly after using keypad

Hello,

I updated my laptop(HP envy m6 notebook) a few days ago from windows 8.1 to 10 and since then my touchpad/pointer has been freezing for 4-5 seconds after I touch any button on the keypad. eg. if i hit enter then i cannot move the pointer for a few seconds.. I can still use the left and right click even while the pointer will not move.


Everything worked perfectly before i upgraded to windows 10 and everything else apart from the freezing mouse seems to be working just fine after the upgrade.

Any help fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Laptop mouse touchpad not working after installation of Windows 10

I have a Toschiba Satellite and only a touchpad. My touchpad works on the lovk screen and the login screen,,after login, it works for a few seconds and freezes up. How do i navigate to change drivers or update. This happened right after the windows 10
installation.

More simply by searching for "key touchpad delay" which you could qualify further if you wish.

lol thank you very very very much! i must have spent 5-6 hours looking for a solution through all the forums before posting here but i guess i forgot about youtube, must be the answer to all life's problems! i must have edited 30-40 things advised in other threads trying to figure it out and changed a dozen settings related to mouse delay, touchpad delay, etc.. finally found the one i was needed under "palm check threshold"
