Windows 10: After Windows 11 update almost 3 yrs ago the "connect to Wi-Fi" option is gone!

I have asked this question before and maybe I didn't word it right because I don't think anyone understands what I'm saying per the responses. I have a gateway laptop. When I bought it, it had Windows 11 pre-installed and I never had any issues connecting to Wi-Fi. I had my windows updater settings to automaticly update so whenever I turn my computer on if there is an update - the computer installs it without me having to do anything. And after one of these updates I no longer have an option to connect to Wi-Fi. The only way that I have access to the internet is by hardwiring a Wi-Fi extender

Wi-Fi Option Not Showing in Windows 11

I am experiencing an issue with my Windows 11 device where the Wi-Fi option is not appearing. I have tried several troubleshooting steps, but none have resolved the problem. Could anyone please provide guidance or suggest potential solutions? Here are the steps I have taken so far:

1. Restarted my computer.
   
2. Checked for Windows updates and installed any available updates.
   
3. Verified that the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled in Device Manager.
   
4. Ran the network troubleshooter.
   

Despite these efforts, the Wi-Fi option is still missing from the network settings.

No Wi-fi option

I am running Windows 11.

My laptop that I use for work was connecting and functioning properly yesterday. Today, there is no wi-fi option. I have restarted the computer and still no icon to connect to wi-fi.

Any suggestions?

After windows 1903 update I don't have any wi fi connection or icon showing and have tried many suggestions on how to get it, but none have worked.
