    After windows 11 update computer wont recognize D drive


    After my computer has done the windows 11 update i can no longer see my D drive or anything saved on it. I can plug it into other windows computers in the house and it shows up. If i go into computer management and Disk management its not there, but when i go into Device Manager it says it is and working fine?Any ideas please ?

    IDE with SATA wont recognize

    Hi all!
    I tried today an old IDE i had 3 years ago
    The IDE itself works
    It turns out that the computer wont recognize the SATA drive 1TB i have
    Any suggestions?

    Also, when i formatted with windows 7, it didn't install the updates
    For example, gpu, network drivers, mouse etc

    And in device manager, it even writes it Hitachi 1TB

    I understand that you are unable to use USB drive on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with this.



    However, please let us know:



    • Do you receive any error when connecting a USB drive?
    • Does this issue occur only with one particular USB or with all the USB drives?
    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type
      winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter.
    • What is the make and model of the computer?


    Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

    Error: “USB Device not recognized”     except for Method 1 and 2.

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
