Windows 10: After Windows 11 update KB4023057 the mouse started acting erratically

After Windows 11 update KB4023057 my mouse started "jumping away" at times when I would try to select an item. Trying to electronically sign my name was impossible. I checked out the mouse properties and the events showed that they were modified on the day and time of this exact update. Mouse Acts Erratically in Any Game

Thanks for the quick response! To answer your questions:

• I haven't installed any new hardware outside of Windows updates, with the exception of the Sons of the Forest game which I had just downloaded yesterday (but after my issues with Valheim had begun).
  
• I've checked my install history and no new drivers have been installed in the last 2 weeks
  
• Outside of gaming, my mouse seems to act normally. I haven't found any other software yet where it behaves erratically in any way
  

I double-checked this morning and currently don't have any outstanding Windows updates. I also don't have mouse trails enabled to begin with so there was no action to be taken there. I didn't have any mouse driver updates, but I did uninstall and reinstall them just to be safe. I have also restarted explorer.exe (in addition to doing a full power cycle of my desktop) and, unfortunately, after all of that the issue remains.

Now that I have submitted a question the circles are gone and the mouse appears to be working properly. At least for the time being.

To answer some of your questions:

When did it last work correctly? About three weeks ago started to act erratic just as I describled but with one circle.

I replaced the battery in the mouse and tried it in a different usb with no change.

I tried a different wireless mouse yesterday and the problem was still present.

I have uninstalled the mouse driver and reinstalled from Microsoft web page.

I currently traveling and will work with the rest of your suggestions if the problem comes back.

Razer Taipan mouse pointer moving erratically after Windows 10 update

I'm using the Razer Taipan mouse. The mouse pointer has been moving erratically since the last Windows 10 update a few days.

Yesterday I called Razer support. They had me uninstall the software and also delete the mouse from the list of hardware in the control panel. Then I restarted my computer and reinstalled the software. That worked for all of yesterday. This morning the mouse
pointer is moving erratically again.

I've followed the procedure from yesterday of uninstalling the software, removing the mouse from the list of hardware in the control panel, restarting the computer and reinstalling the software. This time it has not solved the problem.

Any suggestions?
