Windows 10: after windows update some keys on laptop not working

since 9 or 10 august some keys d, delete, backspace etc on my laptop don't work. When I formatted the computer, the keys started working again so I suppose it's not due to a hardware issue. But after 2 days later the problem returned. Running the troubleshooter in the computer or updating the ketboard driver doesn't work. Also there is no option to roll back driver in the driver tab. Until today I am able to resolve the problem by going into BIOS and turning back setting default following deleting the keyboard driver then restart but now it doesn't work either. Please help me resolve this pr

  What is the make model of the Laptop?
  
• 
  Have you tried using an external keyboard?
  

As an initial step, I suggest you to boot into Safe mode and check if the issue persist.

Follow the bellow steps:

• 
  When the computer is booting, press and hold the Shift key, and tap the F8 key repeatedly until the Recovery screen appears.
  
• 
  Click the See advanced repair options option on the Recovery screen.
  
• 
  On the "Choose an option" screen, click the
  Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  On the "Troubleshoot" screen, click the Advanced options option.
  
• 
  On the "Advanced options" screen, click the
  Windows Startup Settings option.
  
• 
  On the "Windows Start Settings" screen, click the
  Restart option

New laptop FN keys not working [Solved]

I just got a new laptop, HP Pavilion 14-bf001nd:
Tweakers - Wij stellen technologie op de proef

I'm quite satisfied with it but the FN keys are not working for some reason.

I can't find any specific driver update for it either..*Frown

I did a sfc /scannow and it found some corrupt files and was unable to repair....*Frown
The laptop works fine otherwise.

It's probably a windows 10 problem?

Does anyone know how to possibly fix it?

 

Function Key Not Working

I understand the inconvenience you are facing in accessing the F key on your device. We will help you with this issue.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Form when are you facing this issue and have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• What are the troubleshooting steps have you performed?

If you are using external keyboard, I suggest you to connect the keyboard to different port and to different computer and check if it is working fine.

This will help us to know if the issue is with port/ computer the keyboard is connected to or the keyboard it self.

If you are using laptop keyboard, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter it
checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
  
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
  Troubleshooter.

Step 2: Update the keyboard drivers.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboard.
• Right click on the Keyboard driver
  and click on Update driver software
• Restart the computer.
