Windows 10: After windows updated all my files are gone from my desktop, everything is logged out

    After windows updated all my files are gone from my desktop, everything is logged out


    When I turned my laptop on it said windows was updating, when it was finished, all my stuff/files are gone off my desktop. Why would this happen? It's done updates plenty of times and this has never happened...my OneDrive was logged out too. I signed OneDrive in and it says "processing 12,018 changes"...how do I get all my stuff back and why would it do this?
