    Again on "System Firmware"


    I am currently running Win10 Home v. 1809 on an Asus Prime X-570P MB w/ AMD Radeon rx580 GPU, Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of DDR4 3000 memory and am having issues booting my system. It sometimes take 3 attempts to boot completely. I also see in Device Manager that I have "System Firmware" v.10.0.18362.1 "running" with the same date 6/21/2006. Question is: Is this "device" really necessary for sys ops?

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

    Microsoft does not upgrade BIOS firmware you have to install the BIOS firmware from your computer manufacturer website.

    Use the following steps to enable Hyper-V on Windows 10:

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Click on Programs.
    • Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
    • Check the Hyper-V option making sure: Hyper-V Management Tools and Hyper-V Platform are also selected.
    • Click OK to begin the process.
