Windows 10: AIRHUG-4 USB webcam with mic and speaker getting on and off again and again on Windows 11...

I have change the USB port, cable and also the new device but the same outcome. Delete the driver and reinstall again but no success.It seems like when I use the device on zoom or play music, then some UNKNOWN service is disabling the AIRHUG-4 device by disabling all three video, mic and sound services and enabling again. It happen on every few seconds or few minutes. When it disabled, after few seconds it automatically enabled but I have to activate the click on the application screen to activate the device.I spoke with HP support as well as Microsoft support to identify the issue and was

MS Surface Pro cannot disable mic and speakers

I am not sure what forum to put this in so I am starting here.

I have an Asus monitor (with speakers) with a Logitech keyboard and mouse on my desk. Behind me on a smaller desk is a MS Surface Pro that the monitor (speakers), keyboard and mouse are plugged into.

Using conference software like Zoom is very inconvenient since the camera and microphone is behind my back and to use it I disconnect the Asus monitor and use the little SP screen, speakers and microphone.

I bought a cheap webcam with a microphone. The webcam and mic work.

In Device Manager I disabled the MS Surface Pro camera, speakers and mic.

In Windows 10 the USB webcam with mic and the Asus monitor's speakers are set to default.

The problem is with Zoom the sound still comes through the MS Surface Pro speakers even though the speakers are disabled in Device Manager. The MS Surface Pro microphone also still works even though it is disabled in Device Manager.

Any ideas how I can get the MS Surface Pro speakers and microphone shut completely down?

 

USB webcam mic: all bass, no treble

Sudden audio problems with all USB webcam mics. This is confounding me, I'll try to be as concise and clear as possible:

1. I was using an old MS LifeCam for Zoom/FB videochat and while video resolution was low and choppy (known and expected) the audio was fine, clear and tonally balanced

2. As I write all system sounds, audio files, videos, etc playback with normal (correct) audio thru external speakers

3. Earlier today I inherited a generic USB HD webcam+mic with 2mb pix / 1080 video

4. I plugged it in to check out and while picture quality is great, audio is terribly distorted: all bass, no treble -- muffled, like speaking through a diving mask underwater from a thousand miles away

5. Thinking this was a defective device I plugged the old LifeCam back in and found it too was now distorted -- identically -- all bass, no treble, impossible to use

I have no idea what happened -- all non-cam-related audio is fine (unchanged) but suddenly the USB mics are not working well at all. I've looked through what settings options I know of, tried updating drivers (none available) and now I'm just weeping in the corner.

Anyone have clues? leads? advice? !pleH

 

No mic will work windows 11

I have tried using Bluetooth device (speaker is fine/no mic), the laptop on board speakers are fine/no mic, a 3.5mm jack headset (speaker is fine/no mic) and a USB headset (speaker is fine/no mic). I haven't found a solution for this issue.

I have tried updating Windows 11, updating the audio drivers, making sure the mic is usable by all apps, uninstalling audio devices in device manager and restarting, and stopping Windows audio services in services.msc and starting them back up.

Nothing seems to work. I tried running a troubleshooter and it came up with an error and couldn't proceed. I'm not at home, so I will update with the error code when I get a chance.

Any suggestions on how to get microphones to work on this computer?
