    Airplane mode finally off. Wifi/Bluetooth won't turn on. Fresh install and fully updated...


    I got frustrated after I performed a recent feature update. My WiFi and presumably my Bluetooth are turned off and the soft switch to turn off Airplane Mode is greyed out.


    I've performed the steps outlined in the KB article https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/airplane-mode-will-not-turn-off-in-windows-10-it/b2d4d5e6-83ea-445c-a6d0-061ea54dc600 with the result being the Airplane Mode being turned off but the WiFi and Bluetooth features will not turn on. I have options in the WiFi of Manualy, In 1 Hour, In 4 hours, and In1 day. When I try to flip the switch while set to manually, it stays for 2-3 seconds and then turns back off.


    What can I do to get past this point and restore the WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity?

    Airplane mode with Bluetooth ON?


    Is there a way to keep Bluetooth on in the airplane mode? My application is on a cruise ship where I would like to easily turn WiFi off using the convenient airplane mode selection and leave Bluetooth on for my mouse on my Venue 10 tablet.

    Wifi can't be turned off, unless by airplane mode

    I recently bought an ASUS a456ur, and had windows 10 anniversary update installed into it. I had this problem: i can't turn off the wifi unless i turn on the airplane mode, and make all the connection turned off, including bluetooth, which i needed to connect to a bluetooth speaker of mine. And also, if i turned on the airplane mode, i can't turn it off by turning on wifi.
    i tried to turn off the wifi by various way. i tried to disabling it from the menu popped out when you click the wifi logo from your notification bar, i tried to disabling it from the settings, and tried to disabling it from the actiion center, and none of them is working.
    things i have done:
    try disabling wifi from ubuntu, and it works,
    updating the driver of the network devices

    Wifi can't be turned off, unless by airplane mode

    That is exactly my problem, i can't turn off wifi from the system tray, unless you turn on the airplane mode *Sad
