Windows 10: Airpod microphone no headset AG option. Detects no sound in windows 11

Hi, I was using my Airpods with my PC when it was running on Windows 10. No issues in using as headset or headphone. After updating the PC to windows 11, now my airpods or any other bluetooth headset is not working. They work fine as headphones but microphone is detecting no sound. Tried troubleshooting, reinstalling, re-connecting the device but no use. Tried resetting windows also still has not fixed the issue. My windows is updated.

Computer won't recognize headset microphone

This is what i see in device manager. Im not sure if the Speakers/Headphones (Realtek High Definition Audio) is the one your saying to disable, as that is what is default in playback devices in the sounds panel.

Setting Stereo Mix as the default recording device and disabling everything else still didnt get the mic working, even when the headset is plugged into the microphone only audio port or the mic + sound audio port.

 

Airpods Pro: very bad quality in Headset mode on Windows 10

Dear all,

I've got my new Airpods Pro, they work well with my iPhone.
Also on Windows 10 via bluetooth, sound quality is good when using the "Airpods stereo" mode.

However, in the headset mode ("Airpods Hands-Free AG Audio") sound and especially microphone quality is extremely bad. I tried to change the default format (see screenshot, it's only 8000Hz), but I cannot change it as it's grey. Any advice to get a better
microphone quality?

 

laptop not detecting headset microphone

I want to use the microphone attached to the headset as I just bought the headset but my laptop is still using the built-in mic and the headset mic is not detected.
