Airpods pair to Windows 10 PC, volume can barely be heard

    Hi All,

I am attempting to listen to music on my windows 10 pc with airpods. I paid successfully. However I have to turn the volume on my pc to 95-100 to even begin to hear anything. Otherwise no sound. I have removed/re paired. Disconnected, connected to iphone put sound to 100 (works fine) then repaired to windows 10 with no luck. Any thoughts/help greatly appreciated! Matthew

    :)

Problem with audio playing through Apple Airpods

I found this on the CNet website in less than 2 minutes with a search engine (GoogleAirpods pair to Windows 10 PC, volume can barely be heard :)

Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other device.

In the Add a device window, click Bluetooth.

Put your AirPods in their case and open the lid. Press and hold the button on the back of the case until you see the status light between your two AirPods start pulsing white, and then let go. Your AirPods should show up in the Add a device window. Click to
    pair and connect.

After making the initial connection , you'll be able to reconnect your AirPods and your PC by returning to the Bluetooth & other devices page in Settings. You'll see all of your paired audio devices listed under the Audio header. Select your AirPods from
the list and click the Connect button.

  3. Do Apple Airpods work on Windows 10? I think not.

There's another post here that supposedly answers this same question. Incorrectly, I believe. It says you can use Apple Airpods on a Windows 10 computer. But all it explains is how to pair them. I just got a pair of Airpods. I can get them to work
as headphones but not as a headset. They show up in Windows as a headset but when the headset is selected as playback device, no sound is transmitted to the Airpods.

    Airpods Volume Always at Max

The volume of my airpods on my dell laptop is always maxed out to 100 no matter where I adjust it. I can only mute the sound otherwise it will always play at max volume. I found a thread from last year that offered solutions to this issue but neither worked
for me. I have tried unchecking the "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" box in the settings and the option to roll back the driver is unavailable. The driver is updated and I've disconnected/removed the airpods and reconnected it
several times. Nothing seems to work. Are there any other solutions?
