Windows 10: Alarm clock not playing unless I open the notification tab

Whenever I set my alarm clock for a specific time. It does not play to wake me, or if I need a reminder for an appointment. However, when I open the notification window. It plays within that window. When I dismiss the notification, the alarm clock does not stop playing unless I close the window, but if I re-open it, the plays the tone, despite the alarm being dismissed from that window, and even going as far as to delete the saved alarm time.


I've made sure notifications are enabled.

I've made sure that my systems does not go to sleep.

I've even changed to different sounds within the alarm clock just to make sure it wasn't a one off of a tone not playing.

Start Alarms and Clocks in Clocks tab

How can I start the Alarms and Clocks applet with the Clocks tab open?

• I need more than the three world clocks supported by the task bar hover.
• The Alarms and Clocks applet supports many clocks, and looks nice.
• The applet opens on the Alarms tab (which is useless to me).
• I have to click on the Clocks tab. Not a big task, obviously, but annoying when all I want is to quickly check the time in another country.

I'd like to be able to set my Quick Launch Alarms and Clocks icon to automatically open on the Clocks tab. That way, the clocks would flash up, I could check the time, and quickly move on.

Interestingly, sometimes, the applet does open to Clocks (presumably, to the last used view), but not always.

 

Alarm Clock Notification Delay on Windows 10 Pro

Hi, I just finish building my custom pc and have updated the drivers. But there's one problem I'm currently having, the Alarm in the built in Alarm & Clock app didn't go off on time but instead the notification was delayed 2 - 3 hours later after I wake up and moving the mouse. I usually left my pc on overnight.

I have tried:

• Resetting the Alarm & Clock app.
• Reinstalling the Alarm & Clock app.
• Resetting the PC.
• Turn off anything that puts my pc to sleep in the power settings.

Unfortunately nothing works.
I do know there's a a free third party software for alarm. But if its possible I would like to use the built in app because I never had this problem before on my old laptop.

We would like to verify some information regarding your concern. Are you trying to turn off an existing alarm? If so, here are the steps on how to turn off alarm clock in Windows 10:

1. Open Start.

2. Type “alarms” into the search box.

3. Select “Alarms & Clock” from the list of results.





4. On the Alarms & Clock window, click the toggle on the right side of an existing alarm.
