Windows 10: alerts for attempted sign in

I would prefer allow or deny alerts to come through my email and phone when there is an attempted sign in on my accounts

Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

• Open Settings.
• Tap on System.
• Tap on Messaging.
• Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
• Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.

Hmm, is your phone enabled to receive alerts from microsoft for sign-in alerts? It could also be mobile provider issues that causes you to not receive alerts. However, in this case, I would suggest to watch-out for possible compromise that can happen through
phishing and browsing sites.

I changed my password, and I already have T/2FA set up.

This has happened in the past though, and the couple of times it did, I never had any notifications on my phone for an attempted sign-in. Is that normal? I would have thought that having T/2FA set-up, I would have received an alert in both instances of these
attempted sign-ins.
