Windows 10: alienware 17 R5 problems

I reinstalled windows 11 on my alienware 17 R5 gaming laptop. It has a NVidia 1070 video card has a main graphic card and a intel HD 650 video card thats not used. My problem is when my computer monitor goes out from not using it for awhile it won't come back on when i wiggle the mouse or hit any of the keys. I have to hold the power button until it shuts off then turn it back on. I did all the updates and keep the video drivers updated. All the drivers on my laptop is updated to the newer ones. My bios is kept updated. I can't figure out what is wrong. When i reinstalled windows 11 i formatte

Alienware R5 update from 1803 to 1809

My Alienware wos updated from 1803 to 1809 I had some problems with blue screen of death(BSOD) then I factory reset it with Dell support assist coz normal recovery wouldn't work now I can't update from 1803 to 1809,now I have latest version 1803 my question
is did Microsoft block update for Alienware R5 ?

 

Alienware 17 R5/17 R4 Missing New OS Upgrades!

I have two Alienware laptops as described in the title...both with Windows 10 Pro installed when purchased. I keep them updated with the security updates released each month. But I have yet to see any Microsoft Windows 10 version releases to download and install via Windows Update since version 1909 was released. The R4 originally came with version 1803 and I ran the 1909 version update successfully when it showed up in Windows Update. The R5 originally came with 1909 installed.

I checked the Dell website where they have a listing of what products have been tested for each version release. Both laptops appear in the 20H2 version listing as having been tested and in version 2004 as well. But they have never appeared in Windows Update!. In addition, both laptops just began showing a message stating, "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes." I checked both laptops and all updates in the history show successfully installed.

On top of this, I have a homebuilt desktop with Windows 10 Pro installed and it did receive the notification to install version 20H2 and does not display the above message in red. This leads me to think Dell has something messed up in their update process and/or they have a proprietary process of some sort that is interfering with the Microsoft update process. Please note I am aware that Microsoft does delay their rollout of new versions of Windows 10 to the various brands of laptops on the market. But this current situation has me wondering if something is amiss.

I thought I would post here and see if anyone else has some light to shine on the matter. There's a new version of Windows 10 about to be released in the coming weeks and I would like to use it. My laptop warranties have expired and I refuse to pay Dell's ridiculous prices for their questionable support. Been there and done that but no more!
