Alienware Area-51M Laptop Screen Ignores Windows Timeout Setting

I previously had an Alienware MX17 laptop running Windows 10 Pro and it did the same thing. Both laptops had nVidia graphics cards in themMy current laptop is an Alienware Area-51M and I am unable to blackout the screen using the power settings for the screen timeout.I do NOT allow the laptop to "sleep" so that I can remote into it if the need arises. However, all of my other non-Alienware machines obey the Windows screen timeout settings and turn off after the specified amount of time. i.e. ASUS laptopAll of my computers have a screen timeout setting of 1 hour, after which their screens

  2. Alienware Area 51M Can't install the new update - Windows 10 2004

    Hello everyone,

These days I'm bothered by an issue that my computer can't update to Windows 10 2004 from Windows 10 1909.

I've been trying it in two ways. Either update it from Windows update itself, or from Microsoft to download the new update and manually install it. But neither of it works, and they stucks on a same place (after "Getting things ready" to "Download" to "Install"
and getting rebooted once), at the start up that appears the ALIENWARE and a cycle downside.

The cycle turns once and it stops. (There was no response from the computer, and if I shut it down, it automaticly roll-back the install and recovers to the 1909 Version)

Been trying a lot of ways to deal with the problem following the suggestions that I've been looking on the Internet, yet it's still bothering me.

*I don't want to and I can't reinstall my Windows

My computer is Alienware Area 51M, and the Cpu & Gpu are i9-i9900K, 2080 maxq.

    I need some help.

Open Nero Ultra Edition, click Backup, and then click “Burn Image to Disc.” Next, select the file “m15x_x29b.iso from the unzipped folder.

    • Plug your AC adapter in
    • Disconnect all third-party peripherals
