    I'm having an issue with many of the various Windows Apps, including the Store, Settings, and many others.I don't know if this is connected but I originally had a problem with the chrome and firefox and installing games on the D: drive HDD rather than the C: drive SSD with the OS. The games would appear as uninstalled, the app would malfunction, downloads and updates would error, and it all culminated in the OS glitching out by showing a black screen with the taskbar flicking in and out at the bottom. I somehow managed to "fix" it by following a plethora of suggestions by different users,

    Application opens and then immediately closes without loading

    In Windows Phone 7 on Samsung Focus. When I attempt to open applications the app appears to open but then immediately returns to the application list without loading completely. The behavior is random but does occur at least a couple times a day. Is there
    any thing I can do to prevent this?

    QuickBooks crash while opening data file

    Hi,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    As you have mentioned that after Windows and QuickBooks update whenever you open a data file in QuickBooks, it crashes. We would like to know if any other programs are crashing apart from QuickBooks.



    I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:



    Method 1: Repair QuickBooks



    I suggest you to try repairing QuickBooks and then open data file in it. Please follow the steps mentioned below:



    1. Press Windows key + R, to open
      Run
      dialog box.
    2. Type appwiz.cpl and click on
      OK
      .
    3. Look for QuickBooks application from the list, right click on it and select
      Repair.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the repair process.


    If repairing QuickBooks didn’t fix the issue, please refer Method 2.



    Method 2: Open Sample data file



    You can try opening a Sample data file in QuickBooks and check if QuickBooks crash. If QuickBooks didn’t crash while opening Sample data file, I suspect that the data file that you are trying to open is causing the crash. In this case, I suggest you
    to contact the
    QuickBooks support
    team.

    is set correct.

    • Click Apply and Ok to save the date and time.
    Note: Click on the Time Zone tab to check the Time Zone.

    Method 3: I suggest you to Disable Proxy Settings

    Windows Store apps won't work properly if you are using a proxy server. You may disable the proxy server and check.

    Follow the below steps.

    • Press Windows Key + R to open run command, type
      inetcpl.cpl
      .
    • Under Internet Options, go to
      Connections
      tab.
    • c. Click on the LAN Settings button.
    • Then uncheck the option Use a proxy server for your LAN.
    • Click Apply.
