Windows 10: All Applications Closing Upon Sleep Windows 10

Suddenly all of our applications across the board are closing when a PC goes to sleep. This has never been an issue before and we've had many people upset. I have checked all settings and this should not be happening. Currently each person has the proper sleep/hibernate settings set through the domain.Hibernate is already set to NEVER.

Improper power configuration or outdated BIOS are some of the factors that can prevent the sleep function to work properly. As an initial step to prevent the programs/applications from closing upon wake up, we suggest that you reset
the power settings to default. To do this follow the steps below:

• Type Power Options in the search bar and press
  Enter.
• Under Preferred plans, click the Change plan settings link for the plan that you're currently using.
• Click the Restore default settings for this plan link. Click
  Yes if prompted.
• Click the Save changes button.
• Once you're done, check if the issue persists.

In the event that you encounter the same issue, our next option is to check if
BIOS is updated. To do this, we suggest that you contact the device manufacturer or check their support site on how to properly update it.

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly.
Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of
BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Windows 10 closes applications while in sleep mode.

I finally solved this on my own, as usual.

I tried going to support.microsoft.com, rather than answers.microsoft.com. That site suggested I go through the Windows 10 "Get Help" application, which walked me through some troubleshooting steps.

At one point, it suggested I go to Windows update and try downloading and installing through there (rather than waiting for the machine to reboot and try doing it itself). The first update path (21H1) was unsuccessful, as usual. However, I then tried skipping over that and going right to 21H2, which was also in the download list. That later patch installed successfully, got me up to date, and I haven't had any issues since.

Sleep Mode closes all applications

When I wake up my laptop from sleep it appears to have closed all the applications including chrome tabs and word documents. With word it is causing a lot of lost material.

This started happening back in January, and I still haven't found a fix - Please suggest something.
