Windows 10: All audio devices disappeared after upgrading Surface Pro to Windows 11

I work for a school district and one of our schools has teachers using Microsoft Surface Pros. One of the teachers reported that this week she upgraded to Windows 11 and now her sound isn't working. After looking at her computer I am dumbfounded. Every single audio device is gone, not disabled but removed entirely. In device manager there is only one audio device and that is for a wireless projector. There are no on-board speakers listed. Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

I would suggest you to reboot the computer and try installing the driver again, if the issue still persists, please follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R.

2. Type devmgmt.msc

3. Expand Other devices and select the Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus.

4. Right click and select Uninstall.

5. Restart the computer.

Surface Pro 3 - No HDMI Audio Output

Hi, my Surface Pro 3 HDMI audio stopped working last week, after a year or more of use. Any ideas would be appreciated. I only use this PC to stream entertainment to the TV, and sometimes for Skype. No changes made by me. Thanks!

Here's what I've tried so far:

• Switched cables.
• Switched output devices (receiver and direct to TV)
• Reset Surface Pro
• Disabled/Enabled UEFI TPM in BIOS
• Disabled/Enabled "Intel Display Audio" in device manager
• Messed around with advanced audio settings and format
