Windows 10: ALL data and home video project on drive D: vanished

Over night ALL data and home video project 50gb on drive D: vanished, the recycle bin is empty

All data from Drive D:/ disappeared or is not recognized

Hello everyone

I am using a ASUS ROG laptop with two drives: a SSD "C:/" called "OS" and a HDD "D:/" called DATA.

After uninstalling 4 or 5 games from my laptop (properly, using the Applications list to uninstall), all my games, music, pictures, etc stored on drive D (DATA) suddenly looked to have disappeared. Steam is still working but all games show as uninstalled, Origin isn't even working at all anymore, all my music, videos etc can't be found and played anymore.

When trying to play a mp3 from "recent files", it says that drive D is not available and the file can't be found.

Drive D is still visible and can be opened but it appears almost empty, which shouldn't be the case. I think all my data is still there but can't be seen. I can still see all my Origin and Steam games in the Apllications list. It's like the data is not available or recognized anymore. The laptop runs fine (fast, no weird noises, no system error).

Help! Lost all childhood family video projects after moved the default folder directory to external drive

Hi,

I have worked on and created many family videos using Windows 10 Photo apps under the default folder directory path - C:\Users\JH\Pictures. As the pictures and videos size grew, my laptop internal hard drive was running out of space. As I moved the default
directory path "video project" to external drive, added the new external path D:\backup\pictures and removed the default path from Source, I would assume Photo will continue to pick up the original video project data from the new path to the external drive.
Unfortunately, Photo apps doesn't seem to function accordingly to pick up the video project folder from external drive, and it loses all the video projects that I worked for past two years.

Any recommendations and suggestions on how to get video project data recover are greatly appreciated.

Where are the video projects stored?

Making a video project, and it appears as if the files for that is not that easy to be found on the hard-drive. I want to exchange the actual projects with others, but two things seems to be off....

1. I can not locate the project file on the hard-drive. - Really want to get the actual project file.
   
2. When looking for this, it looks like the program is making an
   extra copy of the video files?

I want send share the project files, and videos as-is, but it seems that I can't do that?

Further more it looks like there is a loos of HD space as all the video files are duplicated?
