    all Files from downloads folder dissapeared


    Yesterday I downloaded a game from the internet, and ran the installer, everything was fine, it was a bit laggy, but fine. after awhile of playing i went to check my downloads folder and everything was GONE , i checked all the hidden folders everything, and nothing was found. I ran malwarebytes and to my knowledge nothing but some bloatware was found, no malware or rootkits. that being said i have been checking through disk recovery programs to see if they were deleted but so far i have had no luck. Im scared to safe boot because i do not know if that will ruin chances of recovering deleted fi
