    All files named "image###" are being deleted???


    Weird issue here. I have a OneDrive-synced folder with a couple of files in it named "image001.jpg" and "image002.jpg". Twice in the past few weeks, these images were somehow automatically deleted. I'm able to recover them from the Recycle Bin, but obviously this is an annoying issue. It's a small image of a company logo. The image hasn't been modified in years. Scrolling through my recycle bin, though, I see numerous other files that have been deleted that are also named similarly... "image" followed by three digits. I'm trying to see if renaming the files helps.

    [HELP]Image recovery issues

    Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?

    File name starts with an underscore ("_") cannot be deleted on the desktop.

    Hi,

    I was saving an pdf article in Chrome via the print function on my account desktop. After reading that i tried to delete it but the delete function gives me no response, which usually there is a prompt box to confirm whether I wish to put to the recycling
    bin.

    The file name is _Act Now to Transition to SORA_ - Keynote Speech by Ms Jacqueline Loh, Deputy Managing Director (Markets & Development), Monetary Authority of Singapore, at The Association of Banks in Singapore’s Roundtable Session on SGD Interest Rate

    What I have tried so far:

    1. Default Windows file explorer - I tried to rename it to a shorter name using default Windows file explorer but failed
    2. CMD - Name using the full file name, short file name and wildcard. CMD suggested that it cannot find the directory

    3. CMD - Delete using full file name and short file name. CMD suggested that it cannot locate the file using the short file name. Using long file name, CMD suggested that one of the words ('Development') was not an internal pr external comment,
      executable or batch.

    4. CMD - Delete using any pdf method. CMD suggested that this cannot locate that pdf.

    All files named "image###" are being deleted???

    Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


    Suggestion:
    1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
      x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
    2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
    3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
    4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
      NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
