Windows 10: All fonts display as squares in OneNote

For quite some time now I have had an issue with OneNote. It seems to happen completely randomly, I have found no trigger, the problem just appears some days and can go away in the middle of the day without a reboot or reinstallation/repair. It may also persist for days, I cannot find a pattern here.Opening OneNote via Apps in Teams, the desktop application or the web application, all links, titles, Notebook names, page titles and content displays as boxes instead of letters - as if OneNote cannot read the font used which is the standard font that OneNote chooses - I have never changed it. Custom fonts not appearing in OneNote Windows

I tried all the steps in the link provided. No change.

OneNote no longer recognizes installed custom fonts that are showing up as installed at the system level and available in other apps like Word. Onenote recognized and supported them this time last week; I used those fonts in OneNote then.

What has been done in OneNote for Windows 10 Version 16001.11126.20076.0 that broke this basic, core capability?

Step 1:

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Right click and click on install.
• Check if you are able to view the fonts in documents.

Or

Step 2:

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click on fonts.
• Now, drag and drop the downloaded fonts in the font’s folder.
