All media players like Groove Music, VLC media player are jumping tracks and going fast-forward automatically on my Windows 10 laptop. Also, touchpad is not working properly. In addition, I get occasional notification that my battery is running out and I need to plug in the charger, even though the battery has sufficient charge and the charger is already plugged in. This notification shows up for few seconds and then disappears by itself. All these issues may or may not occur simultaneously. Restarting the laptop resolves the problem occasionally, but not always. Also, I have done a thorough

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

My keyboard only has play and stop hotkeys, using Windows Media Player is there a way to make a keyboard shortcut to skip track, even if media player isn't the primary window?
