Windows 10: All microsoft XPS documents cannot be opened after successfully installed July 12,...

After successfully installed the July 12, 2022—KB5015807 OS Builds 19042.1826, 19043.1826, and 19044.1826 update for my desktop Window 10, all XPS format documents cannot be opened. If I uninstall this update, I can open the XPS format documents as before. How can I fix this problem? Thanks.

Open documents in Wordpad

Please reply to the following questions to get a better clarity on the issue:

• What type of document are you trying to open in WordPad?
  

If you are trying to open XML documents on your computer, then you can use in-built XPS viewer on the computer that will help you in opening the XML documents. To install XPS viewer, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press and hold Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps.
   
3. Click on Manage optional features.
   
4. Click on Add a feature.
   
5. Scroll down, click on XPS viewer and click on
   Install.
   
6. Once XPS viewer is installed, you can open the XML files in XPS viewer.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Printing to XPS no longer opens document prior to saving

Hi Nancy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

• Are you trying to set the default program for XPS documents?

If yes, you may follow these steps and check if it helps:

a. Press
Windows key + Q on the keyboard.

b. Type “Default programs” without quotes and press
Enter.

c. Click on
Associate a file type or protocol with a program.

d. Scroll down to find “.oxps” (OXPS file) and double click on it.

e. Select
XPS viewer from the list and click on Close.

The above steps will set the XPS viewer as default for the XPS documents.

You may also use the Windows Reader to view XPS files. Let us know if you have any questions.
