Windows 10: All MP4 videos on DAS pausing for exactly 90 seconds every 15 minutes

This is making me crazy! I have an external 5 disk DAS unit that I use for media streaming. Only MP4 videos pause for exactly 90 seconds every 15 minutes. All other video types function normally. This happens when I am watching a video from the DAS on the local machine using Windows or when I am using my media server software. I have tried everything I can think of. My PC has been updated to the latest patches and firmware for all hardware and software.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. System specs below...11th Gen Intel Core i7 11700F 8-Core, 16MB Cache, 2.5GHz to 4.9GHz w/Int

Videos pause every few seconds. I have tried everything suggested.

 

USB attached storage pauses for 90 seconds every 15 minutes

I have been using a Drobo 5c for several years now for my plex data and it has been working without issue. Recently it started pausing during playback for exactly 90 seconds every 15 minutes or so and then resumes normal operation. This happens if I am using Plex or just playing a video directly from the unit. This also happens during file transfers.

I originally thought it was an issue with the unit itself or the Drobo Dashboard software but I believe I have ruled those out.

I pulled the logs from the Drobo software and saw the following...

I have no idea why the FTP error is showing up, I am not trying to download anything. The thread error is present every time this happens and 90 seconds is the timeout for waiting for a thread to end so I am assuming that is what is causing the issue, I just don't know how to go about fixing it.

I have completely removed the Drobo software, changed USB ports on my PC, updated al drivers and related software.

The Drobo company is no longer providing support for anything so they are no help.

I could not find any errors in Windows.

Pauses in video podcast play back

I listen to Windows Weekly and Security Now! netcasts. After 5 to 20 minutes of play back of the 90 to 120 minute HD and/or large videos, the video has two split second pauses every 5 to 7 seconds. This can easily be reproduced by downloading the netcast
and advancing to 60 minutes. I have reproduced this in the ATT store on another HTC 8x phone. The video file taken off the phone plays normally without pauses when moved from the phone to my PC.



This problem has existed since I acquired the phone 5 months ago and I notice the issue every week when I download a new netcast.
