Windows 10: All my files are gone after updating to windows 10. I don't have an .old file or anything...

My computer automatically updated to stupid Windows 10 and now literally all my files are gone! Years worth of data gone! I'm in dire need of getting these. It was saving everything to bloody onedrive again it appears but I checked there and nothing as well. I've read all of the suggestions, there is no other user that looks like mine, no file titled "old"....nothing! Please help!

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

files have gone

I MOVED a directory from one W2K PC to another. However, the target PC (which has a backup unit on it and thus the point of the move) crashed halfway through the move and I had to reboot. I then decided that I needed to sort out why the PC crashed and MOVED the directory back again.

However, in the process, most of the files have disappeared! What I don't understand is why the original files were deleted if they were not copied over.

As far as I can see, the files have gone for good. Is there any hope? Friend suggest Data Recovery Wizard, can I try that?

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.
