Windows 10: All my files are gone and the hard drive I had says location is not available

My computer has been off for 2 weeks now, when I first got on and logged in a message popped up saying “Location is not available” I tried fixing it but the thing is, whenever I try to start something from the task bar like System Configuration it never opens and after a minute it says it’s not found. I had all my files and apps on the hard drive that I had for extra storage and it just disappeared. I have tried to download Windows 10 since it should help with malfunctioning but I don’t have enough storage, I’ve tried moving all my storage into the hard drive to make space for the update but i

Most of the time, when your external hard drive shows that error message, it suggests that you don’t have the privilege of accessing to the disk partition. We need to get a permit to take ownership of the drive. Follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
  
• Right-click your hard drive, then select Properties.
  
• Go to Security tab.
  
• Click Advanced, then select Edit.
  
• On the Owner tab, modify the ownership of the specified account.
  
• Click Apply, then OK.

Stored files in Hard Drive

You can use Windows search. Just search for *.* on a desired drive. When list is done just arrange them by size LOL.

You can do it via command line as well and make an output text file showing files and their sizes (but without arrangement)
