Windows 10: All my folders are called 'Documents' and I can't change them back to default settings.

Can anyone help me fix this? They all say 'Documents' and whenever I try to change the location on one to Videos, Music, Pictures or Documents it changes them all to the same thing, and I can't change the name on any of them so they are all called 'Documents'.I have no technical expertise so need step-by-step help, please.Edition Windows 10 HomeVersion 22H2Installed on ‎16/‎08/‎2020OS build 19045.4046Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19053.1000.0

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

Can't change default storage settings in windows 10

No problem, you can simply use DropBox the exact same way. For example, if you want to set Windows so that your "Documents" folder is stored inside DropBox:

• Right-click Documents folder
• On the location tab, click Move and set it to a place inside your DropBox (I suggest inside a folder called "Documents" that is inside the "DropBox" folder)

Now your Documents folder itself will be stored inside dropbox and kept in sync.
