Windows 10: All my mouse devices are acting erratically

I have had normal behavior of any mouse I attach to my system however a few weeks ago they started acting strangely, jumpy, won't move when I move them, or when they do move they jump a crazy distance not the small distance I am moving, jerking movements, overshoot the target, you get the idea.I have tried 5 different mouse/usb alternatives and they all will do this. They will work for a while then they go all wonky. It's not consistent, I can have entire days they work fine. Then all of a sudden it is like fighting someone for control of my mouse.I am not tech savvy and tried limited fixes su

Mouse Acts Erratically in Any Game

Thanks for the quick response! To answer your questions:

• I haven't installed any new hardware outside of Windows updates, with the exception of the Sons of the Forest game which I had just downloaded yesterday (but after my issues with Valheim had begun).
  
• I've checked my install history and no new drivers have been installed in the last 2 weeks
  
• Outside of gaming, my mouse seems to act normally. I haven't found any other software yet where it behaves erratically in any way
  

I double-checked this morning and currently don't have any outstanding Windows updates. I also don't have mouse trails enabled to begin with so there was no action to be taken there. I didn't have any mouse driver updates, but I did uninstall and reinstall them just to be safe. I have also restarted explorer.exe (in addition to doing a full power cycle of my desktop) and, unfortunately, after all of that the issue remains.

Now that I have submitted a question the circles are gone and the mouse appears to be working properly. At least for the time being.

To answer some of your questions:

When did it last work correctly? About three weeks ago started to act erratic just as I describled but with one circle.

I replaced the battery in the mouse and tried it in a different usb with no change.

I tried a different wireless mouse yesterday and the problem was still present.

I have uninstalled the mouse driver and reinstalled from Microsoft web page.

I currently traveling and will work with the rest of your suggestions if the problem comes back.

erratic mouse

I have tried many options and still any mouse I use wireless or wired to USB are acting erratic, after 4 years uf using ACER Laptop, Windows 10
