    All native apps Photos, Camera, Calculator etc., on Windows 10 Education 22H2 version are...


    Whenever I click on the app icons Photos, Calculator, it blinks and goes away. I don't get any error message. The issue gets fixed when I restart the PC, but happens again in next few hours. When trying to open saved photos, I get attached error Microsoft Photos app is set as default app for photos.

    Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

    Has Windows 10 Feature Update 22H2 removed the Calculator App + Paint + others?

    I have two PCs both running Windows 10 but one is at 22H2 and the other is at 21H2.

    The 22H2 machine has lost the standard Calculator App and the Calandar App and the Clock App and Paint 3D...there are so many it is difficult to list them all.

    Using the search bar I can find some of the 'missing' Apps (Paint, Pant 3D...) but the Calculator App appears to have gone entirely.

    What is going on here? Has my particular update been corrupted? Why can I search for Apps but they no longer have a shortcut in the Start menu? Why have some [very useful] Apps completely dissapeared?

    I can't roll-back as it's greater than ten days...blah...blah

    Photos and Camera apps broken

    My MS Photos app is no longer displaying photos, or videos. If I double click on any JPG the Photos app opens but displays a blank white screen. If I try to reset the app from Settings/Troubleshooting I also get a blank white screen when I select the Photos app.

    If I right-click on a JPG in File Explorer and select the "Open with" menu option the process freezes before opening the list of apps. I need to kill the Explorer process in Task Manager to recover it.

    If I capture a video using the MS Camera app I can see it in the "Collection" list when I open the Photos app, but the thumbnail is grey and the video does not play back when I click on it - I just get a blank white screen.

    I'm running Windows 10 Pro 21H1 - OS Build 19043.1706.

    Any idea how I can fix this?
