No problem for me, you have in multiple threads been looking for my attention even though my signature tells users how to let me know if I'm behind in another way and you have repeatedly ignored my suggestions after multiple times asking to try them in your previous thread. After a few times of mentioning, you're still not aware of the fact that I'm a volunteer who is trying to finish college.

  2. I have never ignored any suggestions you gave me Axe0, that is flat out not true. I am not a techie so sometimes I just want more details or understanding.

As for reaching out to you, I never even noticed that pm request, mainly because you have been good in replying quickly to posts. That's why I was surprised when I woke up and saw you reply to others but not my thread.

Sorry if I came off harsh, it's just frustration building up with this BSOD issue. I've wasted a lot of time on this recently. And again, I didn't remember until today you mentioning that you are a college student and volunteer. Now I will remember that.

For what it's worth I do appreciate all your help.

  3. Mikey, listen to both of our advices, we have different ways of trying to solve problems but we are here for the same reason/cause and that is to help people.

It is true, I have repeatly requested that you tried something, but with every suggestion I can remember you wanted to wait and try things for yourself, that is what I mean. Not that it is bad to try something for yourself, absolutely not but it is just really annoying to repeat suggestions a few times.

I understand that you aren't tech savvy, not a problem, but due to personal problems I was planning on requesting help for you today because I don't have time to explain everything proper in depth. Unfortunately until now I haven't been able to do so, but I think I don't need to ask for more help as Boris is here *Smile

  5. Agreed. Just installed the nvidia drivers and 20 minutes+ and no BSOD!!! I tried 3 different games no issues. Weird how the Toshiba nvidia driver all of a sudden started crashing but now the nvidia driver you told me to install, works so far. Thx Boris, gonna keep my fingers crossed.

  6. I understand Axe0. Sometimes my brain tells me before going through a big process to try something else first. I still end up listening to you a lot though. I do appreciate your help. Just curious though, what drivers did you want me today to uninstall and reinstall? What are network drivers?

Your Intel and Realtek network drivers require attention, if that doesn't help and it gets worse you might face hardware error crashes (0x124) which require a laptop to be returned.

    Hmmm thx
Yeah last week I think I installed the latest toshiba drivers for Realtek and Intel (I could be wrong but I think I did) so maybe there are some issues with Toshiba's driver page. Gonna stay away from there for a while.

  9. Well the driver on Toshiba's support site is about 4 months old and that is why I think you had so big problems with the gaming.

  10. I think you're right. It's just weird that it was working fine until a week or so ago. You would have thought that Toshiba would be updating their drivers more regularly for this laptop (expensive)but I guess not.

  11. Hey Axe0 no luck, new driver from nvidia still crashed again just now, here is the latest dump file. Could you tell me what it says?? Is it still the nvidia issue or the Realtek and Intel issues or both??

    Thanks

It is the same, McAfee drivers unloaded, nvidia driver marked as the cause and WHEA corrected error logs about the network drivers.

  14. [/quote] Okay so I hope these aren't dumb questions but

1)Since this nvidia error has appeared with both the Toshiba and NVidia website drivers installed at different times, is it safe to say that it is not the nvidia drivers that are causing the problem, but the other issues involving McAfee and Intel/RealTek??

2)What does it mean McAfee Drivers unloaded??

3)Why was everything working fine up until a week or so ago? Could it be new Windows updates that are causing the problem?

    4)What is my next step?

    Thank you

Thanks to @Arc for mentioning this to me, I totally forgot about it *Redface

What I forgot is the problem with laptops and switchable GPU's, there was an idea of switching between GPU's (don't know the history) which hasn't been proper implemented so far I've seen it.
If this is your problem, then I know what is causing the problem and why, but first we need to test it.

Please disable 1 of your GPU's in device manager (right click > disable), most suggest to disable the integrated GPU but I don't specify as I can't use the dGPU (dedicated GPU) but only the iGPU (integrated GPU)
