Windows 10: All of My photos Deleted for good, due to OneDrive when updating. DO NOT LET IT SYNC

I updated my PC real quick and came back to all my desktop icons and photos gone due to OneDrive trying to Syn. I had nothing in my OneDrive so there was no reason to remove them, after letting them Sync all the way, they all vanished even from the OneDrive Recycling bin. As far as Im aware. there is no way to get them back.Luckily I didnt have anything crazy important that i can't replace besides nice photos and art.OneDrive Syncing for no reason without telling the user has to not be a thing.

Photos deleted from gallery, deleted on Onedrive

It sounds like your photos deleted from gallery have also been deleted on Onedrive.

First I suggest you try to check maybe the Deleted Galary on your phone to see if it's possible to get deleted photos back. Then you may try to visit the OneDrive website to see if the photos you synced are there. If not, you may follow the steps listed on this link | Find lost or missing files in OneDrive (microsoft.com) to see if they could be found back.

Photos are not syncing to OneDrive

Hello pleonidas,

Thank you for your accurate response and for trying the steps.

This shows us that the auto-upload works normally, but only for photos that you take after switching the auto-upload on.

Of course, uploading manually 450 photos is completely unpractical so what I would suggest, is to sync your photos to your PC using the Windows Phone app.

Then of course, if you wish to upload them to Onedrive, you should be able to do that more easily from your PC. At least, your photos will be backed up.

Whatsapp photos do not sync with OneDrive
