As it says in the title. Running Windows 10. Recently all print jobs which go to either my printer or to a pdf are printing in landscape, regardless of the settings within the individual app which is doing the printing. Firefox, Chrome, Word, Excel...everything is landscape. Printer dialog options have no orientation setting available. Going to printer properties/preferences shows no orientation selection option on any printer or pdf CutePDF and Microsoft Print to PDF.

  2. Printer is printing out documents in landscape mode, on portrait orientated paper. All settings are set for landscape mode. All applications...PDF, Word etc. See screen shot for example.

    Hi Josh,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

If your printer is consistently printing documents in landscape mode on portrait-oriented paper despite having all settings set for landscape mode, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Check Printer Settings:

    - Verify that the printer settings are indeed set to landscape mode. Sometimes, settings might not apply correctly, so double-check.

    - Ensure that the paper orientation in the printer properties matches the desired landscape mode.

    2. Application-Specific Settings:

    - Confirm that the applications you're using (such as PDF viewers or Microsoft Word) also have their page orientation set to landscape.

    - In Microsoft Word, go to Page Layout > Orientation and select Landscape.

    - For PDFs, you can adjust the orientation in the print dialog or within the PDF viewer.

    3. Printer Driver Update:

    - Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can cause unexpected behavior. Consider updating your printer driver to the latest version.

    - Visit the printer manufacturer's website to download the most recent driver for your printer model.

    4. Reset Printer Preferences:

    - In some cases, resetting the printer preferences or defaults can resolve printing issues.

    - Consult your printer's manual or online support resources for instructions on how to reset preferences.

    5. Print Preview:

    - Before printing, use the print preview option to ensure that the document appears correctly in landscape mode on the preview screen.

    - Adjust any layout or formatting issues in the print preview before sending the document to print.

If you've tried these steps and the problem persists, it may be helpful to contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps based on your printer model and software configuration.

If the issue persists, please provide additional details or screenshots, and I'll assist further.

    Your Sincerely

Printer set to landscape, prints as vertical.

I am printing from an HP windows 10 computer to a Brother printer.

I am trying to print photos as wallet size on a page in landscape orientation. The printing preferences is set to landscape and the preview displays the page in the correct orientation. However, it prints as vertical. I have already went in the long way to set the preferences (through computer settings) and I have also removed and reinstalled the printer.

What do I need to do to have my page print in landscape if I already have the correct settings?

Auto Orientation Print in Excel (Portrait AND Landscape)

Last week my printer settings were auto orientation print, allowing me to print 100s of tabs in both orientations (portrait & landscape) and they would automatically go to the right orientation.

I had to reset my computer Friday afternoon, and since then i can only print in one orientation, meaning i have to individually print each tab. Turning a 1 min job into 30+ min job.

How can i change this back ?
