  1. All Processes in Task Manager>Details are Disabled and Not Allowed

    I had to reload Windows 10 Pro 64bit from a authorized purchased disk which has Version 1703. Everything was OK until I updated to the latest Windows 10. Now all processes in Task Manager>Details>UAC Virtualization are Disabled and Not Allowed. Is this supposed to be the normal state? I'm not sure, but I believe that it was never like that before.

    I ran FARBAR scan tool and found no problems. There seemed to be a lot of errors when I ran dskchk c:/r. I have saved those scans if it would help.

    But first, is that the normal state for the processes to be Disabled and Not allowed?

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - task manager - details tab

    hello, i have a lot going on in the 'details' tab in my task manager, i was wondering what a standard details tab list for windows 10 would look like so i can narrow down which processes i don't need.

  3. Windows 10 Task Manager: Disable auto scroll in the Process list (Details tab)

    When a process is selected on the Details tab of Windows 10 Task Manager and you scroll the list so, that the selected process isn't visible anymore, after the next list update it auto scrolls the list to make the selected process visible again.

    This is an extremely irritating "feature", since it basically makes scrolling impossible when the selected process continuously jumps from top to bottom and back (for instance, you sorted the list by CPU consumption and the process consumes 0% at the one moment and 100% at the next one).

    Moreover, there is no apparent way to clear the selection. Clicking outside the list does nothing and pressing Esc just closes the Task Manager app.

    And even more to it, even if process doesn't jump at all but you scroll and it becomes out of the view, the list would be eventually scrolled to it in a few seconds.

    Does anybody know how to disable this "feature"?

    different cpu usage in "processes" and "details" of task manager

    Hi,

    I found that the cpu usage of an arbitrary process are not the same in tabs "processes" and "details" of task manager.

    For example, I write a simple c++ program foo.exe as below:

    int i;

    while (1) { i++; };

    The cpu usage in "processes" tab vary in the range 20%~30%, and the cpu usage in "details" tab is about 12% (and much stable).

    My questions are:

    1. Why does these differences happen?

    2. Are there offcial documents of task manager and resource moninor?

    (My cpu is i5-8265u, running on win10.)

    Thanks,

    Chris PN
