    All Programs Freeze But Mouse Is Still Movable


    The issue started a few weeks ago it was sudden. Basically what happens is all of the programs that are running start to freeze. It doesn't happen to every program at the same time once one starts in about 1-3 minutes everything is frozen. Audio from discord still works and I can select things on the taskbar but nothing responds. It doesn't happen when watching YouTube or using chrome in general it usually happens after opening a game closing it and either reopening or opening another game. It doesn't matter what game whether or not its a demanding game or light one. Sometimes it takes longer

    Since the above suggestions didn't work on your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps below for us to further locate the device driver that has been causing conflict on your system.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click Devices.
    • Scroll down, then select Device manager.
    • Look for the mouse icon, then click it.
    • Right-click on the available drivers.
    • Select Uninstall.
    • Re-connect your Microsoft mouse, so that the system will reinstall the correct driver.

    MICROSOFT MOUSE PROGRAM

    I TRIED BOTH SUGGESTIONS WITH NO RESOLUTION.

    I CAN NOT IDENTIFY THE MICROSOFT MOUSE PROGRAM ON MY LIST OF PROGRAMS SO THAT

    I CAN UNINSTALL IT AND THE ERROR MESSAGE I GET WHICH CITES THE CONFLICT ONLY GIVES ME

    THE OPTION TO UNINSTALL THE SYNAPTICS PROGRAM
