    All programs in the Windows PC program launcher says "new" for over a week now.


    Since the last update I noticed that (almost) all programs listed on the PC launch/start menu says "new" under it even though they aren't. This includes all non-Microsoft programs. It's been like this for well over a week now. Why, and how do I get rid of it?

    I don't know about a portable launcher - how does being portable line up with relating to programs in a particular location on your PC?

    There's absolutely no need to organise shortcuts on your desktop.

    Classic Shell (still valid) lets you do that with folder creation and drag 'n drop.

    If you want something different for fewer programs, try stablauncher which also autohides.

    Microsoft signals end of Paint program

    Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

    In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

    Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

    Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
