Windows Explorer, Excel, Word, my photo manager, etc., etc., all are excruciatingly slow to open since W11, new install, new total system:W11 home 64 bit 21H2 OS build 22000.109812th Gen IntelR CoreTM i9-12900F 2.40 GHz64.0 GB 63.9 GB usableNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 TiAlso, say the PC sits idle but on for 30 minutes; the next program to need a directory inquiry takes up to 30 seconds to open.Am I the only one noticing this? Does your system seem really slow for this? ALSO, the next time the same program is opened it pops up immediately, making me think something has changed, maybe the "

    LDAP Directory Program

I have been contributing to the TPU community for some time now, and it is time for the community to help me a bit!

I have developed an LDAP Directory program that needs to be tested. This program is in what you would call an Alpha phase, but very close to actual production.

    To Do:
v1.0 - release bug-free with minor cosmetic / functional changes.
v2.0 - release with the ability to edit the LDAP entries.
v3.0 - possible directory browser instead of manually entering information

This program was created with C#. The code has not been cleaned up yet, but when I get to it, I can release the source. The external directory used is a free directory developed by (c) 2003 Novell, Novell.Directory.Ldap.dll. Examples for entering in the LDAP information is already in the fields under Edit Query, and saved in Ldap.dat.

What I need right now is for people to test the program against their LDAP directory (this should be universal I hope) and return with the following:

    - Questions
    - Errors / Conflicts received
    - Criticism on only the difficulty of use (for now)

This has only been tested on the following:

Novell LDAP directory (complete coincidence for the Novell library usage)
    Windows XP SP3
    VMWare virtualized servers using w2003

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

    LDAP Directory Program

Bump! Anyone with an available LDAP directory can test this. If an LDAP directory is read only access to everyone (most are by default), you will be able to access it without the Username or Password field, possibly even beyond the DMZ in some instances.

Creating Files and Directories in a Windows Phone 7.5

I have a new Lumia 800 Windows Phone and there are a couple of things that I can't figure out how to do, and would appreciate any ideas that would help accomplish them. 1st I am looking for a way to create tiles that would serve either as a "folder" or
a directory where I could access multiple programs through a single tile. 2nd Question is whether there is any way to create directories for my photos and a way to move selected photos into those directories. I would welcom any suggestions that might help.
