Windows 10: all sound on laptop stops working.

so let me clarify how this happens, say I close the discord app, there is a chance for all audio to be cut off, close Microsoft edge and it happens again, and it isn't even if I close a window/app if I backtrack, there is a chance for all audio to be shut off, it is really annoying! every time it happens I have to restart my laptop to get it working again!so, if anyone knows how to fix this issue, it will be greatly appreciated

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

Sound - speakers/headphones - stopped working on ASUS laptop

Okay, some comments and questions:

1. Where in the Update History do I look (is this Windows Update?)
2. What is that "that" about which you're asking if I have it reinstalled again?
3. No yellow triangles in DM
4. Troubleshooter was useless. It told me that the speakers were disconnected. And once when I had updated a driver, it told me I needed to reboot.
5. I did read up on the Kyhi boot ISO you mentioned. Apologies, but what do I then do - boot from it and it tests all the peripherals including sound?
