Windows 10: All the task bar badges have disappeared. The apps are still pinned to the taskbar but no...

I have Windows 10. I tried to access the Personalization / app behaviors but that doesn't exist under the personalization on my system. I've been thru the taskbar list of options to no avail. Can I get some assistance please?

Pinning an app to task bar

Ive tried to pin an app to my taskbar but nothing happens. do i have to change any settings or something for it to pin on it? I right click the app, click Pin to task bar but it doesnt do anything. Also the apps i had on my windows 7 taskbar have now disappeared.

If you are trying to pin the excel workbook to the taskbar.

Follow the steps below.

• 
  Click on the start menu, select the icon and right-click on the icon.
  
• 
  From the list, select pin it to taskbar or pin it to start.
  

Also, you can drag the icon from the desktop and drop on the task bar.

14.328 Taskbar badging. Are there any settings to turn this on? I'm not getting any badges.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

In the build 14328, the Taskbar badging option is by default. You need to pin the apps on the taskbar and once you get any email or alarm is set then you will get this Taskbar badging notification.

I suggest you to refer to the below article and go through the section “Taskbar Badging for UWP apps”
and check if it helps.
