    All USB devices apart from mouse and keyboard have yellow exclamation mark in Device...


    When i try to fix the system reg by updating windows or full resetting it, I get windows update failed or reset failed. This is most likely linked to my error code 0x800703f1. I cannot use my usb microphone or webcam and troubleshooters just fail

    Yellow exclamation mark on wifi

    Sir there is no yellow exclamation mark on wifi in device manager. There is yellow exclamation mark on wifi icon on the taskbar.

    USB flash drives not working, yellow exclamation in device manager, code 28 error

    Hi Akheel, the USB ports work with devices like mice, keyboards, etc.... it's only USB mass storage devices like USB flash drives that appear with a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager.

    The troubleshooter was unable to fix the problem. I've also chosen "uninstall" on the devices that appear with yellow exclamation marks, then unplugged and replugged the devices, and they re-appear with yellow exclamation marks again.

    I've already updated the chipset drivers to the latest version from Dell's website.

    As mentioned, the usbstor.inf information appears to be missing from both c:\windows\inf and c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository. What can I do to get Windows 10 to reinstall the usbstor.inf files that have disappeared. "sfc /scannow" found
    no problems.

    USB devices not working after Device Manager spring clean

    The USB ports started failing intermittently again and then permanently.

    Reinstalled 1703 again and that fixed it for a while then they started failing again.

    When I plug in any peripheral it shows up in device manager with the exclamation mark.

    I right-click 'update driver'
    Choose 'browse my computer...'
    'Let me pick from a list of...'
    Select the best candidate

    Then the device will work. Until it is unplugged and plugged in again...

    Then we are back to square one for that device.

    Are there any suggestions for kicking the USB hub back to life so it recognises ordinary USB devices like mouses and keyboards without a manual driver update?
