Windows 10: All UWP apps are broken seemingly without fixes.

I cleaned up some stuff on my PC by hand, after which I seemingly removed a critical component of all UWP apps. Now none of them open. At all.I checked whatever errors I was getting "The app didn't start", "File system error -21...", etc, no luck.From them I tried:1. `wsreset` does not work, `ms-windows-storeurgeCaches - The app didn't start.`2. Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$$_.InstallLocation\AppXManifest.xml"} did something. No use3. sfc, chkdsk, Dism health check found no errorsI updated Windows 21H2 19044.3086 ->

If I resize an UWP app, it is broken.

Hi, I terminated DWM.EXE again and if I resize an UWP app, it looks like it is broken. Can you help me?

Certain apps are crashing upon start. App reset, re-installation nothing seems to help. Any fixes?

The app in question are as follows:

• Engadget UWP
• Windows Central UWP
• CNET (Windows 8 App)

These were working fine in AU.

I have tried App reset and re-installation from store. Nothing seems to help.

Any suggestions?

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
