Windows 10: All video media is choppy

    All video media is choppy


    This is incredibly infuriating.

    I have a perfectly good working computer and I have updated all drivers on it but recently, when I watch videos there are times where some frames are just dropped but the audio persists. How do I fix this. It happens in all browsers.

    The video problem persists. My ISP sent a new modem, but it made no difference on streaming video, so the problem must be somewhere in the computer. I just can't figure where. This is driving me crazy, because I can't watch any video on either computer because the choppy playback is too distracting.

    I thought for a moment that the problem may be with the SATA driver or controller, as my Device Manager shows only the following, and if I'm not mistaken I'm supposed to see channels listed as well.

    But I just checked a video I recorded on my standalone recorder on a USB 3.0 flash drive, and it's choppy, too.

    Doesn't anyone have any suggestions?

    choppy video streaming windows 10 -- no solution. went thru your new computer, no problem with drivers -- all updated. no problem with video card -- not defective. anytime i live steam it is choppy. Thousands of windows 10 users experiencing same issue.
    Not an upgrade issue (8.1 to 10 -- always 10) -- no reg edit issue. suggestions other than dumping windows 10 and going back to an etch-a-sketch?

    Choppy video and distorted audio on windows 10

    I had this same problem, All drivers are up to date. Problem is with the software trying to run the video. Installed VLC Media player and no more choppy video.

    HP Elitebook 8Gb Ram Intel I7 processor SSD hard drive. I had no problems with windows 8.1 windows 10 has been a nightmare with drivers and getting them to work. Finally got the drivers ironed out then this choppy video problem. Once I installed VLC
