Windows 10: All videos across internet on different platforms are playing too fast even though playback...

Greetings to One and All!


All videos across internet on different platforms are playing too fast even though playback speed is set to normal. How do I fix this? No settings have been changed. Everyone sounds like a munchkin from the Wizard of Oz. Even my own self recorded videos sound like I'm in OZ.

MOV video playback too fast

I have a new HP laptop with Windows 10. I'm trying to playback a MOV video I took. It plays too fast, audio and video.

2. Do you get any error code or message when you are unable to open the video?

3. Are you able to play the videos when streamed online?

4. What steps have you already perform to fix this issue?

For now, I would suggest that you run the Video Playback troubleshooter, which is an in built tool to help you detect and fix error related to this area.

• On the search bar type “Troubleshooting”
• Click on View All form the left menu pane.
• Click on Video Playback and run the troubleshooter.

How do you access YouTube? Is it though Internet Explorer/EDGE browser/App/any other source?

I suggest you to run the Video playback troubleshooter
on Windows 10. Follow the below steps to run Video playback troubleshooter.

• 
  Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Control Panel
  
• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left navigation pane.
  
• 
  Click on Video playback
  
• 
  Click on Advanced on the
  Video playback dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).
  
• 
  Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the
  Video playback troubleshooter.
