Windows 10: All windows Apps not working. Regular programs seem unaffected

running windows 10 home on a desktopA day or so ago i tried to open a photo and it didnt seem to open. I did not dwell on it. Today I tried to fix the issue by looking up errors I was havingWhen I was opening up photos the error was "File system error -2147219195"Some of the solution were to open the advanced options in the apps menu and click repair or reset. I have tried both. Neither work. A check mark popped up but absolutely nothing changed.Another was to browse the windows store and reinstall the product. Trying to click on microsoft photos to download it again produced the error

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

Startup programs not launching on startup

Replying to Brink none of that works here is why-
Step 1- No items listed in startup on task manager as stated.
Step 2- I dont have shell:Startup on the pc as it cannot be located
Step 3- I dont understand that option also the startup folder cannot be found
Step 4- No apps showing under startup on settings
Step 5- Dont have access to advanced options at all for any apps
Step 6- Doesn't work.

@dalchina, Will try the program now and no I have no suitable restore points and also nothing that I am aware of has been updated besides for Windows Updates but nothing major. WIll respond once I try the program.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
