  1. Allow a Website to run that is being currently blocked by a Firewall

    Hi,

I was using facebook and I play a lot of games on the website. All of a sudden it decided it was not allowed and may be blocked by a firewall although nothing was changed on my firewall settings. I tried to run a diagnostic's and it said it 'apps.facebook.com' is configured correctly but not responding and also may be not responding. I have tried rebooting my router and turning my firewall off completely but still have the same problem. It does not happen on other devices. Can anyone suggest a way of allowing this website to run and stop being blocked by firewall.

    :)

Windows Firewall - how to allow access

I believe that my firewall is blocking access to Family Tree Maker / Ancestry / MacKiev SYNC - I can't see any reference to any of these names in the allowed list ....

I can't see any way of adding to the allowed list

    Any suggestions ?

    Windows Firewall blocking websites

    I have blocked IP addresses, e.g. 255.255.255.255, not URLs, e.g. somewebsite.co m.

As far as unblocking, look at your Windows Firewall rules. Do you see anything that is blocked? If you do, click on the Scope tab and see what is listed there.

Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

    Hi,

Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

    • Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
      Firewall & network protection
      > Allow an app through firewall.
    • A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
    • Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.

Let us know what happens after doing the suggestion.
