  1. Allow an app or exe to read & execute WindowsApps folder

Hello Microsoft Community,I'm a bit stumped trying to add a permission for a program and an EXE to access WindowsApps folder and subfolders. Adding a new permission doesn't seem possible or, as it looks to me, greyed out. I am using an administrator account. I've checkedWhy do I wish to do this?: I have a keyboard and mouse combo that have special keys to add macros or launch programs, the program I'm editing those macros with is Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center.Change owner permissions: I do not want to change any owner permissions if I don't have to because I don't want to risk any unfo

Remove Old Apps From Windows 10 Start Menu Search

This explains how shortcuts for UWP Store apps are specified:

    - except that to refer to an 'executable file' here is perhaps misleading, as they don't use exe files.

However, that suggests there is still something in the Windowsapps folder.

How do I find the application executable that is blocked by Control Folder Access.

I turned on Control Folder Access. When I run a application that is not trusted I get a notification that shows an abbreviated path due to notification length restrictions. I save it to view it under Notifications it is still not readable. I click on it
to expand the message and it goes away. I have tried going to the "Allow an app through Controlled folder". Instead of showing a list of apps it displays File Manager expecting me to find the executable. Since I cannot read the path or executable in the notification
I cannot add the app to the list of allowed apps.

Is there a log that displays the entire notification?

Is there a log of app names blocked?

    Suggestions:

    1. If you are going to use notifications to advise an app is blocked display the executable only. That way I can search for the executable.

2, Give the option of accepting/denying the app access in the Notification.

Allow an app or exe to read & execute WindowsApps folder

    WindowsApp Folder

It is already installed. In accordance with your suggestion, I have created a folder for it under Program Files and moved it there. Thanks. I would still be interested in understanding why I cannot get access to the WindowsApps folder, even after following all the steps I can follow online. Any insights please?
