  1. Allow Company Approved USB Brand Ex:Sandisk and block all other Brand through GPO

    Hello,

Just a Quick question on How to allow Company approved USB Brand for Ex: Sandisk and prevent all other USB brands from accessing.

Upon Investigation, it is possible through hardware ID.

So if the hardware ID is "USB\VID_0781&PID_558C" which is specific to device. can we use just "USB\VID_0781" to have this vendor allowed and block all others.

    Thanks,

Other brands and even other SanDisks do work

Thanks. This is challenging. I do have several SanDisks and other brands, and all work. I even have another 256 GB SanDisk that works fine on my Win10/64.

??? What is branded Firmware ???

Branded firmware is where the network subsidising your phone has modified the firmware to include network branding material such as logos, themes etc. They also sometimes add applications and every now and then they also remove functionality.

Branding is not always a good thing as the changes made by the network and cause problems. Networks are also very slow approving updates for their branded firmware.
