Windows 10: Allow showing previously signed-in users in login screen when Shared PC mode is enabled

I have tried enabling/disabling any option regarding this topic in the Group Policy Editor, and nothing allows for showing the previously signed-in users to be shown on the login screen when the Shared PC option is enabled. In my company we have 3 or 4 workers that use the same computer, and then an occasional Guest whose profile should be erased after he logs-out. This is nicely handled with Shared PC mode, but the workers are complaining that it is tiresome to have to enter the email and password every time they have to log-in. We would like for the last X number of signed-in accou

Unable to sign in after resetting PC, only Other User present

I understand that you have reset the PC and there is no other user account apart from other user.



I would suggest you to boot the PC in to safe mode and check if you are able to login. Refer the section
From the sign-in screen in the article
Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10.



If you are able to login to the PC in safe mode, try enabling the default administrator and then login to the PC. Follow the steps mentioned below to enable default administrator.

1. Open Start Menu and type
   CMD.
   
2. Now right click on it and click on
   Run as administrator.
   
3. Type the following command to enable hidden administrator:
   net user administrator /active:yes
   
4. Restart the PC and then try logging in to the
   Administrator account.
   

If you are able to login to the Administrator account, create a new user account and try to login. Refer the article

I know you want to get into Safe Mode, but for verification, are you able to sign-in with the changed Microsoft account password on the PC?

In option 4, step 8 of Reset Password of User Account in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com)
Did you get the




Following that step 9
You can now sign in to Windows 10 and your devices with your Microsoft account using the new password.
--- Can you now sign in with the new password?
--- If not, what message do you get?

 

USER PROFILE SERVICE FAILED THE SIGN-IN

You have booted to Safe made and looked at the user accounts listed as being available to sign-in to at the Safe mode login screen?

[I am not referring to anything you might try to do once you have entered Safe mode, I am talking about the Safe mode login screen shown before you enter Safe mode]

If Administrator is not shown in that list then I agree that the only remedy we are allowed to suggest in this forum is to reinstall Windows.
