Allowing app to scan in offline mode?

After scanning, Microsoft defender writes: Potentially unwanted app found. This app can perform unwanted actions. If you want to remove or allow this app, go to Windows Security. Windows Defender then recommends taking recommended actions which is to block the threat, and that's what I've done. It is verified publisher app: Microsoft Windows CLSID: {6CED0DAA-4CDE-49C9-BA3A-AE163DC3D7AF} But when I run a scan with Microsoft Defender for offline mode, it comes up if I allow the same app to make changes on the machine. Should I do it or not to have a scan done in offline

    :)

Defender Periodic Scanning or Offline Scanning?

That link does suggest it's useful to use Defender offline scanning in addition to periodic scanning and a third party real time anti virus (e.g. Kaspersky).
